Let’s Talk About What Blogging is.
By: J.Morgan
Most everyone has heard of blogging. You have probably gone to a blog to get information or look it over and thought you were on a website unless you saw something on it that referred to it as a blog. A blog is like a web log. A person posts or writes on it about anything they choose. It can be personal or business or whatever the author wants. A blog is usually updated at frequent intervals.
A person may put tags on the posts so they will be grouped according to the subject of the post. Many people use the date option which shows what content was written on a particular month, day, and year. Some merely write about their day to day lives. Pictures and videos are nice to have on a blog as they add more interesting content. The blogger can write about anything he wishes to on his blog.
If you blog, it means you keep and maintain a blog and write content on it. The act of blogging has grown a lot with some bloggers making huge amounts of money from it. Blogs today are used for almost any type of internet project you can think of.
There are many kinds of blogs:
A blog for just friends and family
A blog for a corporation
Question blogging
Blogs for news, current events, music, or movies
Blogs just for videos, which is referred to as a vlog
A House blog
The blogosphere refers to a group of blogs tied in together like a community. All blogs are sometimes thought of as networked together even though they are on different servers.
If you decide to get your own blog, there are many free blogging platforms that are very popular and easy to sign up with. The editing is also easy as you can use a simple editor or html if you prefer. These are offered for free but you can also use your own domain with them if your want your blog to look more professional. You can pick out your own template or design to fit your individual blog theme.
You don’t have to know anything about web design to take up blogging. You can easily get started in around ten or fifteen minutes. For almost five years blogging has been widely accepted. People from all walks of life are found on blogs worldwide.
Blogs are used by people to write about their daily lives, share with family and friends, talk about current news stories, to promote their business, to talk about movies or music, or anything else you can imagine. People blog for different reasons, more and more blogs are springing up all the time. It seems everyone has a blog. It is your personal place online to do about anything you want.
