Blogging is much like other types of writing other than you can do about anything you want with it as it is your own personal space.  You don’t have to play by the rules when you write on your blog as you would elsewhere, such as a forum, or social networking site.  Check out these great ideas to have a great blog.
Use good content when you write, perhaps solve a problem for the reader. Give them something to think about and make them want to read more.  Write about something they need to know.
Think about who is going to be reading your blog, they are looking for something that interests them. Write something they can get excited about. Keep it interesting for them and they will come back.
Don’t waste their time. If you can’t think of anything to say, find something interesting to put up. Write some reviews and publish them. Link to something you think will interest them.  Your visitors want to be entertained. There are many interesting things online you can legally add to your blog.
Use popular keywords for the search engines, but don’t overdo it, you could get banned from some engines if they think you are stuffing words in just for traffic.
When you are writing, keep it short and to the point; don’t overdo it with a bunch of boring details. People are in a hurry to move on so try to keep them interested as long as possible.
 Don’t put everything in one paragraph; this makes it too hard to read. Use short paragraphs with breaks in between. Make lists and subheadings to make it easier for them to find what they are looking for.
Also look over what you have written and correct any mistakes. You can even use a word processor to write, then copy and paste. It will correct any errors for you. You will look much more professional without mistakes in your post.
Use plenty of relevant links on your blog.  It will get you more traffic and make you look more knowledgeable about your subject.
Take the junk out of your writing, a sentence that doesn’t add much to the subject should be got rid of.
Write as if you are talking to someone. Blogs are more laid back than a regular website or business site. Try to come across as a regular person to relate to your reader.
